Scott Varley was born and raised in Saratoga Springs, New York. He has built his career on a deep knowledge of the community and the real estate market, with a special focus on luxury homes, investment opportunities, and guiding first-time buyers.

Every buyer and seller is assured of Scott’s dedication to honesty and availability. His knowledge of current market values is shared on his website, along with strategies to help sellers earn the best price. His specialty in Saratoga Springs, Lake George, and Ballston Spa does not preclude him from traveling throughout Upstate New York to work with clients wherever they need him.

Scott has been awarded the “Top Realtor of New York’s Capital Region” numerous times over the last 20 years. He is also ranked in the “Top Half Percent” of all realtors in the United States. Over more than 36 years of marketing homes, he has developed a marketing team of 10 that consistently sets sales records and wins real estate awards. Since opening for business in 1989, The Scott Varley Team has produced over $10 billion in real estate sales. For 20 years, The Scott Varley Team has averaged close to $100 million in sales annually, outperforming any other agent or team in Upstate New York.

Scott launched The Scott Varley Commercial Team, named Dark Horse Commercial, which has become a natural and successful extension of his residential sales business.

A graduate of Cornell University and Paul Smith’s College with a degree in Hotel Administration, Scott initially dreamed of managing hotels before finding his passion for real estate — helping others achieve their own dreams in the Capital District.

Scott also sponsors 4–5 community events every year, bringing residents together at his office on Broadway for food, drinks, raffles, and giveaways — a cherished tradition for Saratogians.

In his free time (though his clients will attest that he never truly stops working), Scott enjoys spending time with family at the beach, exploring neighborhoods, traveling, singing in barbershop quartets, and meditating.
